I know myself pretty much... well... lately.
I maintain a journal and I just write whatever is in my mind -- my fear, my experience on the day, my anger, my imagination, my fantasy, my happiness... you name it. I'm stripped to the bone with my journal. When I read what I've written about myself and my experiences, that's when I realize who I really am. That same realization doesn't make me scared anymore of what I have and will probably become. It seems that everything about me simply has a reference from my experiences and my previous thoughts. Although that doesn't mean I'm not up to anything new anymore. There's always something new that comes in to my life -- be it an imagination or a reality -- and either I would learn from it or be amused about it.

Seems to be a 3 part question.....
I DO find new things about myself....or I rediscover old things...there is no better experience than one that brings you back to childhood...be it a good or a bad memory....it's so VIVID...and reminds us of how we became who we are....
I sometimes get scared of what I could become...but knowing who I am and how I got here helps me realize I will become whatever I want....
The mind is the most amazing resource we have...and the best part is we can all afford it...and if anyone answers no to this part of the question...they aren't reading it right.

One thing a Human must learn do is to know them selves,(could well be started at a very young age ) this is a good foundation to understanding life and others( I feel this really is imperative )
As one get older one finds less surprises with regard to oneself
Scared of what one will become.....no not at all ....why would I ?
One would whole heartily agree, the Human mind is just fabulous

The more I try to find myself the more I loose myself. True.
I am scared of what I have become and unsure of what I could become.
My mind sees and creates wonderful things but, is (almost) my worst enemy.

Sister u r just at the beginning of the mind game...
If you can manage to travel enough, u will first find out that mind has limits, and second that mind is only to consume itself...
and then you will find out that u have your hearth...
