I think that they are incredibly interesting. I have watched many documentaries on the Greek belief systems and on the families.

They are wonderfully family-oriented and the father is head of the household, therefore his decisions stand...and they come to him for everything. I think that it is wonderful how they have preserved the family unit as God intended it.

They have the most wonderful music and they know how to celebrate! The dance is something most people can do, and the language, itself, is romantic. The men are vey sexy!

I almost wish I was Greek.

I love the whole lifestyle...I think it is awesome.

So, this is what I think of the Greek people.

:o)

We are strange people (I am Greek!) but our country is still safe for the visitors (do not hear rumors)......

When we meet polite and interesting people we invite them to our house and we become very polite. Our houses are open to every respectful person.

We offer plenty of food when a visitor comes to our house (be aware if you are on a diet!!! )

We still assist each other (our enemies are excluded!!!!)

The family value is still alive (Mothers ask always their children to eat even if their children have become 100 years old!!!) .

We express in a strong way our feelings (sadness, affection, love, happiness for football, anger with public services etc).

Sometimes we shout when talking ...but do not worry....it is a normal way to express ourselves. If it happens to sit next to a Greek use these special things (I do not know in English how they are called) to cover your ears - ''ear covers''!!!!!

and .............we have the ability to survive under difficult situations!!!!!!!

That is what came in my mind when I saw your question. Never thought about it in the past!!! thank you!

We have good aspects and we have bad aspects...
We are friendly and polite to visitors, trying always to offer them the best we can.
Although things change, we are still family oriented, we respect old people, we protect children, we could give our life for people we love but we could also hate to death.
We are really democratic (don't forget where democracy was born) and most of us are deeply religious, but not exceeding the limits.
We love our country, we hate our government (no matter right or left), we love bureaucracy and laziness but can prove very hard workers...

Notice: Past tense of "hear" is "heard" and not "herd". You speak of a herd if you refer to sheep!
You know, most of us speak at least one foreign language and people who are trilingual or multilingual are not very rare to meet!...

I have been to Greece and had a wonderful time. I love their women and the men were polite. I can't say i was a big fan of the food, but some of the beaches were fantastic. I wish i had gotten to spend more time there, but what time I did spend was really nice!

herd as in a group of cows?

What do I think of Greek people? The same as I think of Americans, Japanese, Italian, German, they are all good until they do something bad.

I agree with qwine2000....(I am also greek) our most important thing is family. For the most part we are a very hospitable country , our biggest flaw is our endless love with paperwork!!!
