Recently I updated my NTL anolog box to digital, since then I cant record a TV program while watching another TV channel.
I can only record what I watch.

I used to be able to watch or record channels 1 - 5 either on my video or my telly while I watched a different channel on my NTL anolog box.

Does anyone have a solution that will allow me to recored or watch channels 1-5 while I watch any other channel on my digital box.

It can't be done at the moment but there are developments in the pipeline so that your ntl: box will have HD, Two tuners and host of other extras!!!

Same problem - got a 20gb video recorder only to find (on NTL) I can only record what is showing. There are two things you can do. One: get a second box. Two: and probably what you referred to in your question, record something via NTL while you watch analogue 1 - 5 or vice versa. Hope it helps........

VCRs have become lots harder to apply with the introduction of DTV converter packing bins (as though they have been quite elementary in the previous). There are some converter packing bins that have a VCR timer function to alter channels at a time which you application, yet maximum have not got that. this suggests which you will could preset the converter container to the channel which you somewhat want to checklist. while you're attempting to checklist distinctive shows on distinctive channels while you're actually not at residing house, then you definately're in all probability out of success. in case you want human beings to be waiting to apply the television on an identical time as you checklist stuff, then you definately might choose 2 converter packing bins and a splitter. All in all, that could be a nightmare. the well-known answer to that's the twin-tuner DVR, like a TiVo, yet they are costly ($a hundred and eighty - $250) and carry a month-to-month cost of $10 to $13.
