omg. i have that too. it is called didaskeleinophobia
it means you have a fear of going to school. i puke every morning to get away and i still have to go. I'm kinda bulimic as well. i don't eat before school or at lunch and if i do, i puke. like you, i am fine on weekends and terrible when it comes to school. i cry as well but only once a month! i just turned 14 and I've had this phobia since i was 11.

go to a psychologist for help. i want to go but my mum thinks it is useless.

because if this i've been suffering from extreme and severe depression. i can't help it. i feel useless and everytime i think about school i lock myself in my bedroom and sit down on my bed thinking about school. DON'T tell your friends, it will make it worse. go to the school nurse or an agony aunt or uncle or a teacher who you like and trust but if you are like me and can't, then tell a sister or a brother who cares about you or a cousin.

when i told my friends they thought i was being stupid and immature and stopped talkinig to me and ignoring me for a while.
i know what it is like having to be forced to go to a place of hell because the law forces you to and i still have to do 3 years of high school. 2 years of college, 3 years of university.

good luck!

You need to figure out why you are afraid of school. Your 13, what else are you going to do. If you let this fear hold you now, in are in for a long life of disappointment. Without an education, you are less likely to get a job you enjoy and bring yourself above the poverty line. Do you want this? If not, let that be your motivation to do better. You need counseling as well.

it could be a form of social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, general phobia, specific phobia, or a variety of other things. talk to your Dr. about it. he may choose to prescribe a higher dosage of lexapro (especially if your on 10mg), or add an anti-anxiety medication. i'm on lexapro and xanax for depression and anxiety. i can't get in a car without having a panic attack. however, getting off all medication should be your goal. try relaxation techniques. check out the sight i've provided below. good luck!

I had a friend who couldn't go to school. He was very anxious.

I believe they have a name for your condition. Tell whoever is prescribing your lexapro about your problem.

We can't help you with this, but you do need help.

First, you should talk to whoever prescribed your depression med, to see whether this might be a side effect. If so, this side effect is intollerable, and your meds need to be changed.

If that's not what's going on, then you may need psychological counselling (not yet more meds -- I can't help wondering if whoever proscribed your depression med isn't too med-happy, thinking everything should be fixed with a pill).

Please ignore those who have simply told you to get over it -- they just don't get it. Seek help for this.

Can you start by asking yourself whether it's the people you must deal with at school that upset you, or is it the things you are expected to do, or is it some thing else about being at school?

You should join the drama club if you're gonna put that much drama and energy into making a mountain out of a mole hill. Either that or try home schooling.

Sheesh, kids these days.
