I try not to think about Christmas until after Bonfire Night and Rememberance Day (Nov 5th, Nov 11th,for none-Brits who are wondering).
However, next year I intend to take a leaf out ofa friend's book and do my Christmas shopping in the January sales (for the Christmas after, obviously)!
Does anybody else think the shops are being OTT and getting earlier every year? There were some shops that had decorations out in August, I mean come on!

When the New Year kicks in, if I see a sale, then I put all effort forward to purchase whatever I require, whether it is a gift or a card. This continues for the entire year until the next Christmas holiday comes. I am able to purchase gifts for birthdays (some I may have forgotten), holidays, graduations, marriages and other celebratory occasions. This affords me a stress-free time when anything pops up that I may share with others. My money, as far as I am concerned, is not available for full price expenditures. Thus, I am a cheerful giver and not one who is constantly broke because of it. I am constantly figuring out ways to make life a stress-free existence. "The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. The Creator is giving us gifts perpetually. Life is the most awesome gift of all. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

Zero.
I am boycotting xmas this year. Seriously. My family was a trainwreck last Christmas, so on Dec. 26th I made reservations at a nice hotel in Las Vegas and will be spending xmas in Vegas this year, in a luxury suite with room service and I will buy myself some nice little present in one of the fancy shops in the Bellagio shops or the Forums shops.

I started in July. In view of the fluctuating gas prices and the need to travel to different stores etc... If I came across something I knew would be good for someone on my gift list I snapped it up especially if it was on sale. I started doing lay aways for toys I knew would be hard to track down once the holiday blitz begins. I stay away from all shopping on Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving.

I started a few weeks ago. My daughter found the bike she wanted, so I went back later and bought it. If I waited, I know I'd get burned. Plus as a mother of 2, I have to start early. Spread out the cost.

I always start on November 1st and I'm done by December 1st. I hate the Christmas rush.

I already have started. I never wait. If I see something that makes me want to buy it for someone I do. Then Christmas is always a breeze for me.
