Tough one.........you never really know until you face that situation, but I would like to think that I am the type of person who would put himself on the line to save 5 other people. I have been trained to do it in my line of work, but have never actually been put into the situation as of yet. Truth is that in those kind of situations you don't take the time to think about the consequences you act out of necessity and survival.

Not fair, if one was to answer yes, this perceives this person as a selfless hero of some sort, and if the answer was no, the person is perceived as a selfish coward, the truth is, no one really knows what they would do until they are placed within that situation.
My answer: I don't know. I don't believe I would, but you never know.

What are the ages and situations of these 5?

If they are 80...No! I have future generations to consider that would outweigh 5.
