Amsterdam! It is not only the common sense of the legalization of Marijuana and a well regulated red light district that makes this place attractive. It is has history, decent food, and access to all the great Western European countries. France, germany, England, Scotland, and of Course Spain is a quick trip down the coast, with Denmark right up the coast! The downside of living there is they are struggling with a large Arab/Persian population that have practically alienated themselves from the rest of the Netherlands.

Why do I have to move to another country? What did you hear?

Just kidding.

If you have some money saved up, you can live like a king in Greece. Sail on the Mediterranean, visit Italy and France.

It would be nice.

Also,
The people answering Amsterdam might have something. I've never been there but I think I'll read up on it.

You're making two typically - and idiotically - Yank assumptions:

1. That everybody who uses the internet is in the US.

2. That people would want to live in the US.

There are plenty of safe and free countries to live in with a good quality of life. Interestingly, _all_ of them (with the exception of Germany, post-WWII) have *never* been under US control. Anywhere the US stuck its feces-tainted fingers, it stunk up the place, usually by destroying democracies.

I don't live in the United States but for a second country it would be China.

China because it is developing and soon to be if not already a superpower. It's safe and my money would go further and lots of business opportunities.

Philippines cause my money goes further and my wife has family there.

Australia would be next on that list, but only if I can live in the outback.

Not sure. I might try England because I like it there and I can speak the language, but maybe Spain because my husband's people are from there and I could learn to speak it fluently.
