well now I was reading some one elses answer..I though spotting was a brown color??? becuase I thought I was a week late then like I said I was at wrk early this morning and relized I was bleeding not much but I just assumed it was my period Its very light not like usual I have no cramps and its not much not even enough to really use a pad??is that spotting or my period???

if you are pregnant and have recently had sex the spotting can be caused by the sensitive to your cervix which would cause some spotting. If you don't need a pad, its just spotting. However if its bright red or pink its called "new blood" and you should let your doctor know about this. Brownish colors are "old blood" .

Implantation bleeding can be brownish red or bright red. It can be a spot, or a light flow. If this is lighter than your normal cycle, then take a pregnancy test.

It COULD be implantation bleeding, where the fertilized egg has reached the uterus and is digging in to start growing.
It is a brownish color.

It could be either. If you don't start flowing it is probably just spotting. But even spotting should be checked out if it is alot.

either or when my friend was pregnant she was heavy bleeding for the first month in a half.
