i have rebooted and tried 2 mice and still cannot get my mouse pointer to move...it is stuck in the middle of the page.If I get a wireless one, would that help!?!?!?

If its USB it may just be the port. Try a different USB port and see if that works

Are these optical mice or the old track ball type? If optical, does the red light come on? Is it USB or PS/2? If it's PS/2, do you have a USB adapter for it? If it's USB, have you tried a different USB port?
Getting a wireless mouse isn't going to help if you can't get a wired mouse going.

In addition to the above - have you installed the driver for that mouse (if you have it) ??
