I don't like a lot of the answers you are getting. They are only going to confuse you. I was 2 weeks late with my 1st son, on time with my 2nd son and with this third one we will have to see.

1.A typical pregnancy last 40 weeks give or take 2 weeks due to early or over due pregnancy.

2. There are 4 weeks in every month (for the most part)

4 weeks = 1 month
8 weeks = 2 months
12 weeks = 3 months
16 weeks = 4 months
20 weeks = 5 months
24 weeks = 6 months
28 weeks = 7 months
32 weeks = 8 months
36 weeks = 9 months
40 weeks = READY TO POP (This may seem off to you but you have to take in account that some months have 1 extra week) So some charts might be a week or 2 off compared to others. The sites below can help you a little more.

Ancient Chinese Gender Chart....This is something i send to all parents. It has been right about all my pregnancy's. It might be coincidence but it is still neat.

No. 26 weeks is half a year or 6 months. An additional 7 weeks is less than 2 more months. So you're in your 8th month at 33 weeks.

I am 34weeks 5 days pregnant..I am 8 1/2 LUNAR months pregnant....

At 33 weeks you are 8 LUNAR months 1 week pregnant...

a pregnancy is 10 LUNAR months(each month contains EXACTLY 4 weeks)

thus the need for it to go on an extra month because a REGULAR month can be plus or minus(FEB) a few days!!!!

One of the things NOBODY ever explains to women when they get pregnant, is that pregnancy is a 10 MONTH deal....not 9 months.

I found out from my own pregnancy that once you get to 33 weeks, it feels like you are in your 9th month, and it lasts for 2 months!!!!! You are really in your 8th month.

Pregnancy lasts 40 weeks they just determine it to be nine months but it can be ten months depending on when you became pregnant and how long each month is.
Example: With my first son I became pregnant in May and delivered in February(9 months), But with my second son I became pregnant in June and delivered in March(10 months)

no not the ninth month, that means you have 7 more weeks to go, and on this planet there is no month that has 7 weeks.
