Natilie chooses a number and then describes it to her friends. "its an integer. It is between -3 and -6. it is less than -4.
What is the number?
Im right in saying that it cant be -3 cos thats not between thats on so would it be -3.5?

no it would be, -5, remember that this is less than -4!!

Less than -4 means it can't be -3.5 - it must be -5 or lower. Also, -3.5 is not an integer - integers do not have decimals.

-5 is the only integer less than -4 and between -3 and -6, and must be your answer.

sweetie its -5 coz a big number wit -ve sign in front is smaller than a small number wit a -ve sign in front.-5 is an integer its between -3 and -6 and its lesser than -4.

Think of playing a game....if you have -4 points (not real good) but someone has -5 points (even worse), they are lower than you.

It has to be -5, remember that the bigger the minus number the lower it actually is.
