you are too hard on yourself. you can do bookkeeping at home, send out flyer's or letters to small companies, like little stores, fast food stores and you might find some customers, mean while you can work for a temp agency to help the finances until you get enough clients of your own.. with temp agencies you can design your work days, and an or pm shifts.

Have you considered networking? It is a great way to earn money working from your own home as your own boss. Ever heard of Robert Kiyosaki Rich Dad Poor Dad? He has another book called "The Business School" and he talks a lot about network marketing strategies and getting on the right side of the cash flow quadrant. That's what I did when I started my own business at http://www.mywayoutonline.com/ access code 108306 that is a new division of a billion-dollar international company that is listed on the New York Stock exchange. If you have a big enough dream, you can achieve anything :)
Good luck on your endeavor!
PS: One thing though.....it's NOT a get rich quick business....building a business takes time from 2-6 years...if you're not serious enough, then don't bother with the site. If you are serious and you're willing to work at it....check it out.

I don't know how many jobs you've had... but if you know your stuff, then maybe 'freelancing' is the best option. It's not working from your home, rather, it's working for someplace for a short amount of time (for coverage or for end-of-year).
Not everyone is 'made' to work in an office. Like I said, I don't know the particulars, but is there a common thread in your employments? I too have lost several jobs... YOu can succeed in several ways.. not just at home.
good luck

Be self employ, work to make yourself rich, not someone else,i work with a great company they help homeowners pull tens of thousands of dollars of interest savings out of their mortgage through a carefully controllled biweekly prepayment system(by dividing their monthly payment by 2). their services is so popular, they're saving homeowners BILLIONS of dollars! this is NOT something that homeowners can easily do on their own due to many hidden pitfalls.... homeowners pay you about $395 to sign up,you keep $276.5. 2 simple forms. NO refinancing is involved. you enroll the client. the company do everything else. and YOU CAN POCKET 70% COMMISSIONS! call 1800-365-7550 ext 61583 and get free info, that will explain it in more details, check out my web site www.amr.usmr.net or e-mail me at astride9@aol.com
