I didn't think they were trying to forbid you to make friends. There's a contact link on everyone's profile that lets you email people if you want. They just prefer you don't use the question forum to obtain personal info because you're information then goes to anyone posting answers here. I've made a friend or two through this site just by contacting different people that have an email address posted. Also people have contacted me when I've answered their questions. There's just a right way to do things.

I agree with what you're saying. One time, I got a violation for asking if anybody resembles their avatar. I didn't think anything of it and if i knew we wasn't supposed to ask that, i wouldn't of. In a roundabout way, they had the nerve to tell me that i was asking that question because i was trying to find out what people looked like, in case i wanted to meet them in person. I was very insulted by that and Yahoo Answers got a reply from me, that i know they didn't like. One of the main things i told them was that i'm a happily married woman and even if i wasn't married, i wouldn't be interested in meeting people in person, through the internet. It may work for some people, but not me. I told them, "don't you have other violations to give people, for more serious things, rather than giving me one for asking if people resembled their avatar"? They never responded back.

LOL. Yes they TRY to forbid it, but they just CANT... HEE HEE HEE, there is no way that they can stop us from meeting anyone on here, especially if more people would put their messenger ID or 360 page link. There are ways around their "Heil Yahoo" mentality!
