French CSI has proved last year that her son didn't survive much longer than his mother. His skeleton has been found and they actually did some genetic comparison to prove he was the little prince and analysed his hairs to checked he has not been poisonned

At the time of her death, Marie Antoinette had only two of her four children still living. Her eight year old son, Louis Charles, was to be the next King of France. He was kept in a prison cell. He died around the age of ten of Tuberculosis in 1795. Her daughter, Madame Royale, was released from prison and became the duchesse d'Angouleme through marriage. She never had children.
