this cannot be disputed------the world was at our feet ready to help----now look at us, defending torture, redefining the geneva conventions, ignoring the constitution.......

You mean when other countries felt sorry for us for being attacked? That feeling was bound to evaporate as soon as we did anything about 9/11. The only way we could have continued having other countries feeling sorry for us would be to do nothing and continue being attacked. I guess, as a Liberal, you would prefer that situation.

Actually, I've kind of been wondering for how long historians WILL rely on Fox News for their facts. I mean, most Republics die after a few centuries but then last as empires for millennia.
Fox News may change its name to the Imperial Ministry of Truth or something, but it will be with us for a while!

You know even Nixon, who is more famous for the Watergate scandal and his subsequent resignation, tried to make good in light of our failure in Vietnam, by making his historical visit to China in 1972. Hell, Reagan did a GREAT job in helping communism fall. Carter had the Camp David accords, had full diplomatic relations with China. Even Ford had the Helsinki Accords. But George W. Jeeeeez.... he had the whole world willing to help after 9/11 and now.... Its like every nation in the world is telling us F-U

Defending torture, Geneva Convention? There is not one American soldier held captive by al Qaida, they are all tortured, mutilated, and dead! This pleases you?

Europe likes to be sympathetic, and do nothing. It is irrelevant to have the empathy of Europe and the globe if they are unwilling to act on that empathy. You confuse empathy with support, and ignore those nations that did and still do assist.

If you want to look at a president that pissed on global support, look to Coolidge and study the tardiness of our entry into WW1.

If you want to look at a president who placed international interests ahead of American interests, look at the disaster of the Carter Administration.

No and when he finally ends our nightmare by stepping down as president do you think he'll travel the world like most past presidents do?

Doubt it - he'll be shouted down anywhere but Saudi Arabia...

Your language shows your ignorance. Your speech must be a disgrace to your parents, wife and children. Time to grow up.

Also it doesn't appear you really know what you are talking about, just reverberating the lib blogs.

Global support? What global support? We give billions away in aid and they still give us the finger. You're either with us or against us.

Obviously you're against us, so why don't you just pack up and live wherever it is you think is better?
