the longest I stayed at one job was 10 years, the shortest was one day and that was because the employer was a rude and nasty person who had inappropriate work ethics, which I was not aware of when I started. Once I saw how he treated his employees with such disrespect, I told him that I would not work for such a rude and disrespectful and unethical employer.

I had many jobs. I'm 24 and I had 6 different jobs. My present job is now more then 2 years and I still love it, but none the first 5 lasted longer then 6 months. Of course I was not the laughing joke because of that. I've always managed to earn my own living and I never had to beg anyone for help.

I worked 2 different jobs in high school and then started a full time job the day before graduation. I stayed there 10 months and then came to where I am now. Have been here for over 12 years now.

Ha Ha Ha.
Actually, having "alot of jobs" is really a more complex situation than it seems at first glance.
Were these jobs primarily in the same industry/position? IOW, were you a "Mall Rat" working in different retailers? If so, were they really different jobs, or just you trying out the same role in different settings?
Certain professions tend to have people when first out of school change firms or companies several times before finally settling in.
In my past I've had jobs where I stayed only a couple of months to those where I've stayed longer. Mostly in the same field.
I believe that the actual time frame for most young professionals to stay with any one company is about 18 months. If you're changing more frequently, then maybe it's time to change your path..go back to school?
Just suggestions.

I've had many jobs and most of them have not lasted more than 2 years. Your friends shouldn't be laughing at you, if this is your situation. People come and go from jobs all the time, and for many reasons. My husband's job takes us to different cities, and so my resume is a little checkered. It's nobody's business to comment on but my own...and any potential employer who chooses to bring it up (most don't).

I have received paychecks from well over 200 different employers in my life time
I never kept any job longer than 1 year...... some were history before I got the first check
Have no intention of ever keeping any job for more than a few months
