dapixelat...Hillary Clinton and her NOW women think that day care centers and such should raise your kids while you are in the WORK FORCE being fulfilled and making a success our of your life.

Success to ME - is being home to raise MY kids. If the neighbors help by watching out for their safety (which mine do) that's GREAT.

I am a liberal, and I consider myself a feminist, and I believe the SAME EXACT THING. There is nothing more important or more fulfilling that a woman (or man, for that matter) can do than to raise responsible, compassionate, and moral children. It is the only way to save us.
Where we differ is that I understand the ramifications generational poverty can have on the people that are born into it. Learned helplessness, look this term up. As far as it being an excuse for murder or violence, it may EXPLAIN it, but never excuse it. And no liberal that I've ever heard of has used poverty to excuse violence. If this is the impression you've gotten, you are mistaken.
Of course I believe in personal responsibility, I also believe that there are millions of children born into our country at an extreme disadvantage to others. THEY are not personally responsible, and they should not suffer because their parents can't (yes, some simply can't) or won't take responsibility. Christ said "suffer the children" and my belief system includes compassion to help those who can't help themselves. Otherwise, what consequences do you think ignoring the poverty, hunger, and suffering of millions of the next generation will have on our country? Never mind that to do so is immoral, it will have a devastating effect. My husband and I are in the process of becoming foster parents so that these children might have a better chance. What are you doing besides complaining about your own wallet and judging others?
And by the way, studies show that more liberals graduated from college than consrvatives. I graduated from college, did you? ('Cause you don't sound like you did.)

unusual that folk continuously go incorrect . Liberals are in contact that all of us is being abused by using a handful of persons making the guidelines and restricting possibilities . If a doctor charged a guy 3 million money for a heart operation and yet another he did for $10.00 for a homeless guy you may whinge . Why could a wealthy guy could pay plenty and the unfavourable guy incredibly much no longer something . the respond is the unfavourable guy replaced into prepared to grant each little thing he had to the physician to stay . He might have even presented to bathe his homestead windows or help him with something he could . the wealthy guy replaced into prepared to grant him what he felt replaced right into a appropriate value for centers . how are you able to place a value on life . What medical doctors could study is to invoice 10% of someone's wealth . it is the in charge concern to do .

It's funny that you should be asking liberals that. You should be asking that of conservatives.

1. Go ahead and raise your child. But do it responsibly. It's been my observation that the liberal parent spends more time with their child and shows more interest in what their child is learning than a conservative. I'm saying this out of the fact that most of my friends are teachersand they've seen it first hand. As one of my friends stated "You can tell a liberal from a conservative parent. A liberal parent will ask 'What can I do to help improve my child's grades?' A conservative will ask 'What will YOU do to improve my child's grade?'."

2. Social Security/Disability for drug-users. That's more of a conservative myth. I've been around drug-users most of my life and very few can get it. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but not too the extent that conservatives claim.

3. Maybe it helps to know why people shoot people so that we can get people out from those kind of situations. I mean, if you take someone that lifestyle or provide an alternative, maybe we wouldn't have so many shootings. Give them something else to focus on.

4. I agree with you on this. But if we didn't spend the money to study the mating habits, if we didn't spend the money to study any habits of any species, we wouldn't know what's wrong with our environment. What I don't want to see is a toilet seat I get at Home depot for $15 being sold to the military for $1500. Nor do I want to see no bid contracts going to people who jack the prices up (Haliburton). I believe tighter oversight and accounting practices need to be in place.

As for personal responsibility, I see more liberals practicing it, than I do conservatives. And I live in a very conservative state.

On education: In my home town, my high school needed new text books for home economics, english, social studies, and history. The plan was to raise proprty taxes by 0.5 cents. It was defeated by a 2-1 margin. The majority of those that voted it down were the same people that were crying about the state of the books in the first place. The ones who voted to raise taxes to improve eductaion were liberals. Two years later they voted to raise property taxes by 1.5 cents to pay for work to be done to the stadium. Repainting bleachers, resodding the turf, moving the score board 5 feet to the left. Most of it was minor stuff. And yet the conservatives were still whining about the shape the schools were in.

Don't look at others as the people responsible for everything that goes wrong. Look at your own priorities before you look at someone else.

First, the village is a concept. It is the idea of all people taking an interest in a child. Growing up, I was raised primarily by my mom and dad but I also had teachers, coaches, clergymen, uncles, and aunts who taught me things. Incidentally, I am a Liberal who GRADUATED FROM high school and earned a Bachelor's Degree in English through the Navy. I also served 20 years and retired.

You are right that no one forces a drug addict to take drugs. However, I am lost on the Social Security disability thing. I think that there is a screening process, they don't just hand out checks. this money is for people who have mental and physical disabilities that make it impossible for them to be employed for long terms. I don't think drug addiction fits the criteria.

I wish this was a face to face conversation because I would like to slap you for insinuating that my mother is on crack. That comment was really out of line. My mother is intelligent, hard working, and truly lives God word. My Dad (God rest his soul) worked very hard to provide for our family. He and my mom were together for 25 wonderful years. Growing up I always had three meals, was fed, and clothed. I was taught how to work hard, to help my fellow man, and believe in God. I am aware that shooting people is wrong. The only thing I have shot is a few animals for food. After the comments about my upbringing, if you are ever in my neighborhood I will make sure my guns are locked up and out of reach so that we don't have a little "accident".

Yes, it would be nice if we could spend our own money and not the Government. Whoever we have in office will spend according to their needs and beliefs. Therefore, I suggest you read up on your different elected officials beliefs and choose one whose spending beliefs reflect your own. Don't vote for the guy who is for studying mating habits.

Well, I am a Liberal who is a High School Graduate, a decorated retired military veteran, and a college graduate. I am married and have two stepsons. I don't drink, smoke, or use drugs. Both my wife and I work so no one receives welfare, GA, or SSI. Is that responsibility enough for you??? By the way, did you get your beliefs from watching Archie Bunker on All in the Family??? When I read this question I said to myself "Archie Bunker lives"

The government has the right to provide for the common good. An adequate education has been determined to be in the interest of the Nation as a whole - we are not and were never intended to be a loose collection of self-centered individualists.

Go ahead and teach your morals - but your kids have to know math, history, and science no matter how immoral you think those butterflies are. If butterflies go extinct due to chemical interference in their mating habits- we need to know about it.

WTF - get outside and listen to something besides Fox news, that crack comment is too stupid to deserve a response.

And, no, you do not get a line-item veto of your tax dollars - we have a Representative government. Protections have been put into place to preserve your rights - but paying no taxes is not one of them. Go back to school and learn how governments work. your interpretation is just plain childish.

Boy I have never seen so many mean spirited stereotypes. Haven't you heard? They reformed welfare during the Clinton administration. Now as far as personal responsibility.
If you hire people or do any kind of business including grocery shopping it is your responsibility to help pay for schools.
If you market a product that hurts or kills someone you should be held responsible.
If you are the President of the United States and you ignore intelligence reports and there is an attack during your administration you are personally responsible.
If the company that you own goes bankrupt because of your corruption and incompetence you are personally responsible. You do not have the right to rip off your employees pension funds. We worked for it.

I think you're on crack. Libs DO belive in Personal Responsibility. People like you tend to twist things.

I have raised my kids. But the concept of a village is that years ago, neighbors used to keep an eye out on kids in the neighborhood. If they were out of line, they either put you in line or made sure your parents did. The point is that of community taking care of itself-- you obviously have no clue what that really means.

Your other facts are distorted just like your thinking. HS drop out libs? Of course shooting somebody is wrong and they should be presecuted-- how is that a lib thing?

You're just not right dude....

2.No one forces soccer moms to steal their kids add medication and wash it down with wine but they do anyway. You should not be looked up to as a shining example of a good wholesome family
3.Sorry you live in the boring *** suburbs where all houses look the same and you and your neighbors all secretly hate each other and your husband is banging his secretary because you suck, that doesnt mean you have to take it out on your kids and force them into a dozen after school activities to keep you from dwelling on your pathetic shallow life.
4.Right you should choose how to spend your money, not the government,Im in total agreement and when the people in this country who are over extended on credit because they have to keep up appearances, I will laugh mightily at you all.
