Doing a variety show with our local community theatre and was looking for ideas to do with my daughter.It can be about anything from show tunes to........ It can be something cutesy as well since my daughter is 9. Any suggestions??? I am so blanking right now. thanks to all who answer!!!! Jenae

Well, Jenae, a good musical that has a good message behind it is The Wizard of Oz. The little girl runs away from her step-mother, and finds friends that have more problems than she has.
A memorable song to sing with your daughter would be "Somewhere over the Rainbow". It made me cry and think about how good I have it in life, and I am a 20 year old young man. It will be a special memory that you and your daughter will cherish forever. Just print the lyrics off of www.google.com and think of a bright colorful costume to wear that you can get at Wal-Mart.

I like the idea of I got u babe...only get them to play the song and ya'll lip sync along with it while acting it out ~u can use chairs long hair an everything ~this is something u could really get into. How bout the Lucy comedies...u know Lucy and Ethel...wait a min. she is only nine. stick with the song thing...besides that will be something that child will hang on to the rest of their life.
