Because they are jealous of us and afraid of our plot to take over the world and force them all to convert to our way.

It does not concern me what people do in their bedrooms, and I mean that. Some straight people may fear what they do not understand, and taunt and tease others who are different. But homosexuality is a little more than "who is sexing who" gay and straight people need to understand that sexuality is a part of someone's being. Why are you so attracted to the same sex? Sometimes, it's historical, sometimes emotional, or maybe just curiousity. Whatever the matter, I don't lose any sleep over who is sleeping with whom, But when the issue of parenting arises I have to be honest and ask: why would someone gay, raise a child? I think that is most important, because we now have nature vs.nurture and the child will be observing its surroundings, taking in what what may be the "norm". This is not a put down, but my own ignorance, my own curiousity when it comes to that matter.

I do not care what gays do. I do not want to see it in public, just as I do not want to see heterosexuals making out, nor do I want to see women dressed as skanks with more body showing than covered. I do not like that tv shows and movies shove the gay agenda in my face. See Project Runway, the Chef show where they catered a commitment ceremony for 2 guys that they made it out to be a marriage, Will & Grace, that stupid MTV show Next, and the list goes on and on. How about the Amazing Race where Chip & Riekkan were announced as married. There is no gay marriage at the time.
The gay community needs to learn that people do not have to accept you nor like you. I personally do not care. But when it is shoved in my face a lot, it turns me away from being on the side of gays.
I ended up getting a nasty email from someone, I believe the question asker. I was blasted with insults.
So, GAY PEOPLE WILL CONTINUE TO BE MISERABLE WHEN THEY EXPECT THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE TO ACCEPT THEM. HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT NATURAL. I DO NOT TAKE THE MORAL DEBATE BECAUSE I DO NOT CARE ENOUGH. WHEN YOU INSULT PEOPLE YOU CANNOT WIN THEM OVER.
Here is the email
Note:
1. The media shoves acceptance of homosexuality by constantly putting it all over the place.
2. The agenda of many gays is to be accepted as normal. 8% of the population is normal. Most people will not accept gays as normal. As I have stated, I do not care. Many do. That is a fact.
3. The Amazing Race took place all over the world. In America at the time, it is illegal to have two men marry. Calling that relationship marriage is false and blantantly misleading. Both of those guys are Americans. I used this as an example of trying to shove gay lifestyles in people's faces and it still is.
Message: You stated that you didn't care what other's did in the privacy of their bedrooms..and I can appreciate that completely.
But then you accused us of "shoving the gay agenda in {your} face."
How is a media portrayal of an accepting society in anyway "shoving" let alone an 'agenda?"
I'm sick of jerks who used catch phrases like "gay agenda" and "radical left" without ever thinking about how erronious those terms actually are.
Is it a "gay agenda" to want to be accepted as equal citizens? Why has this notion changed into a "gay agenda" when it was simply an "equal rights" agenda previously? Is it simply because most other minorities have won their equal rights EXCEPT gays that makes it just our "agenda" now?
Gee, thanks for raising the issue of importance a few more notches!
Also, that sence you mentioned of the "Amazing Race" episode, took place in Amsterdam, where Gay Marriage IS LEGAL, you ninny!
Try knowing what you're talking about before you open you mouth and perminantly implant a big toe where a molar should be!

they are insecure of their own sexuality, and fear they might become the one thing they fear the most.If you notice girls actually like gay guys ,we make great friends,,and arent constantly hitting on the girls, when i make friends with a girl it is a true friendship,,i am interested in her as a friend and will do anything for her,,there isnt a straight guy out there who can say he isnt jealous of the way girls and gay guys can get along so good, hug, and sit close togather, and actually sleep in the same bed,and the girl always knows she is safe, she wont be felt up or wake up with some guy wanting to play.

If the question were why are normal people so worried about the beastiality or pedophiles, would you have still said "I don't care what you do in your bedroom, so why are you going to worry about what I do in my bedroom"?
There is normal and there is not normal. I worry when folks don't merely want to do "not normal" in the privacy of their bedrooms, but make the world believe that "not normal" is normal. Some folks even want the world to think that those who recognize "not normal" as "normal" are themselves "not normal" for believing that.

One worry and down the line this could be reality, is that they'll start behaving like heterosexual male pigs.
Every cute girl in highschool has been goosed more than once.
Now, how are girls going to feel if other girls start goosing them.
How are guys going to feel if a guy starts goosing them.
We'd like to know it's not going to get to that.
We'd like to know six homosexual guys who are drunk will not grab some college jock, strip him down and do him in an alley.
We have eough problems with hetero males who do that and I think the Catholic molestation problem speaks volumes about the ethics of morals of some Homosexuals.
Gays are in it for the gratification most of the time. It's all one night stands.
Heteros are not that far into that.
Few girls put out on a first date. Few girls do it that easily on a pick up.
Yet it is WELL known gays have rooms and use the bathrooms at all gay bars for encounters.
Guys and girls don't do it to THAT level in straight bars. One two maybe, but not the whole room.
It becomes a moral issue and we'd really like to see you strive to have better morals. Especially if you want to get married.
We don't need to fill up the courts with more divorce cases cause gay people can't make right choices any better than straight people do!
My personal feeling on divorce is there should be a $5,000 filiing fee. That would slow down the divorce rate and unclog the courts.
I'm a beleiver in Jesus and pro gay as far as human rights are concerned, but I do have reservations because Heteros are far too PAgan, I don't want to see blatant Paganism get anymore fuel to the fire!

Many of your responses are expected - some positive, some well, not so positive.
My response to this question is:
Straight people are worried about gays, because they have a 'condescending' attitude about themself. Many straight people cannot do anything but get into other's business, because they are feeling inadequate about their own situation.
Most straight men are perplexed about gay people, because during that 'bang' of their spouse/girlfriend they are wishing it was a man's hole instead. But do we care - NOT !
As for straight women, who asked those stupid annoying questions, I'm certain it is because they have caught their spouse's/boyfriend's in bed with their spouses/boyfriends. Now think about it once more .. do we care - NOT !
Thanks for poising your question - it has been very therapeutic.
Cheers,

It has a lot to do with the religious right. Politicians need to create an enemy. Without an enemy, there's nothing to be saved from. This gives them political support (the ones spouting the propaganda). The followers who fall for it have charactor flaws that leads them to a need to focus on a bad guy (rather than their own betterment.)

They have nothing better to do with their time.
If people stopped paying attention to what other's were doing in the privacy of THEIR bedrooms, they might have to actually pay attention to what ISN'T going on in their own!
Now who's sexually perverse?

they think we are going to infect them with the gay gene or something stupid like that. like we can make them gay by being who we are around them. it also deals with how they were brought up by their parents. my parents taught me to treat everyone equal inspite of color, sexual orientation or any other decriminatory factor. its ashame people are so hateful in society but who knows, i mean look around at the lack of discipline now a days
