I even did research and it said more people die from diseases, murder, falls, injuries, and suicide. Which means more people actually die then are actually born. You didn't know there is a disease that kills 8,000 people daily which is like a death every ten seconds so if we add every person that dies that means like everyone person dies in like a second so what's up with that?

It's true that gay people don't 'control' the birth/death rates of humans. I don't think that this particular fact has ever been an arguement, per se.

I'm going to guess that your statement is in relation to the fear that some people have over the perceived threat that 'gay behavior' is somehow spreading to the point where it may one day threaten heterosexual behavior and displace it as the primary behavior for reproduction. Of course, in the unlikely event this happened, the human species would become extinct fairly quickly.

First of all, 'gay behavior' is not contagious. While our awareness of gays and lesbians has improved as a society, the actual number of gays and lesbians has not increased as a percentage of the overall human population.

Bottom line, gays and lesbians are not a significant threat to human procreation.

There are some who would suggest otherwise however, for their own social, religious and political points of view.

Fear is a good motivator for the weak minded. What works for al-Qeida also works for the radical Christian right-wing splinter groups that like to pick on sissies. Calling others out as deviant and strange is a great way for them to reinforce the tenants of their faith while recruiting those who want to defer their own responsibilities to their fold.

To those who would disagree with me, I might add that 'gay' behavior in the animal kingdom is quite common, and has not in any case that I'm familiar, led to the extinction of any other species. These animals have no religion to fall back on either, so I'd say we're fairly safe from the 'gay agenda' as a species.

I don't know where you did this so called research, but more people are born than are dying. The world population is on a constantly upward trend, there were about 2 bil people in the world in 1950 and there are about 6 bil now. I don't know how that could happen if more were dying than being born, do you? I agree that the point of gay people is not to control world population, the point of gay people is the point of straight people, they just are. However, it is true that we do not need more population, so gay people are not hurting anything by not having children. If the human race were to become an endangered species, which would by the way be very good news for the rest of the world, then I could see people saying that gays should do their part and have kids, but as it is, just leave us alone and go to a different category if we bother you.

My Ex-Boy, a bi redneck, had a few moments of intelligence. One was when he said that homophobes "have to build us queer people up as a huge threat. Otherwise, those macho straight dudes would feel stupid about fighting women and sissies."

(Which isn't to say that all, or even most, gay dudes are sissies--but the statement just struck me as really funny.)

Oh, and Shyguy--*you* are the one who needs to pay attention and do research, if you're calling Chris here a "gay hater"!!!!

So, what's your point, gay hater. I am sure you aware that HIV wasn't spawned by gay people and that more heterosexuals have HIV than gays. Nice research ya did there, fruitcake.
