If you feel pain then you have somethign wrong, pretty much is an infection, pain can be reflected to anywhere in the body. And that is why some people like to discover what and how these things work so they go to Medical School... and become Doctors, they are 5 years or more studying... I think you need to go to one of these people... They will run a test and tell you what you have.

It could be. But if you hurt in yur back then something is deffenetly wrong. I have had freinds that have had kidney and liver problems. The best sign of liver problems is your eyes will start to yellow(jaundice). Or your skin may change color. good luck

I've never heard of that. But it could be gallbladder. Which is right next to your liver and suffers all the same things as the liver.

How far in your upper back is it? How far along are you in your pregnancy?
I assume you are pregnant, since this post is in "pregnancy".
If it is your shoulder, it could be your diaphragm expanding with the baby growing.
If it is the middle of your back, it could be your kidneys, or your ureters being pulled by the weight of the baby.
I can't give you specific info, but your doctor would know best.

You always have to consider gall bladder and liver disease with right upper quadrant pain. Peptic ulcer, and other causes of dyspepsia (gastritis, or esophagitis) can also cause right upper quadrant pain.
