I dont know if I ever felt the baby "drop", but I did realize that my belly was a little lower and that the pressure was in a different area.

It was definately the baby dropping. You could feel it as early as 35 weeks. Usually you will feel it drop within 2 wks of giving birth. Sometimes not until your water breaks, but that is definately what it was.

could have been. I have had two girls, and am pregnant with a boy, and The only way I knew when it had happened, was I felt my girls rub there heads on my pelvic bone. If you feel a rubbing on your pelvic bone then I would know that it has happened. I do not know if it actually "drops" in a fast rate of speed though. Good luck. Sounds like a baby soon!!!

I couldn't feel the baby drop with either child. I would think that maybe if you suddenly had to run to the restroom that maybe the baby kicked or hit your bladder.

If you notice that your baby has ‘dropped’ (appears to be lower in your abdomen), you can expect to have about two to four weeks to go. In second or later births, babies often don't ‘drop’ until labour has begun.
So the answer to your question is YES it could be baby dropping.
All the best and enjoy baby when he/she comes!!!
