I have been pound foolish for most of my life, now I want to do a lot more travelling so I am trying very hard to become penny wise, my piggy bank it groaning at the hips and its so tempting to have a blow out with the money, sod it I can't take it with me.

Suddenly that saying makes sense to me. I always wondered why pennies (a monetary unit) were compared to pounds (a weight unit.) But now I get it.

I used to be the foolish kind…but I have changed my ways. I take better care of my money these days. Not that I don’t spend it…but after my house burned down I realized that owning a lot of stuff, just for the sake of owning it, adds little value to life. I save my money and take trips to any point in the world that pleases me. Memories don’t burn.

What’s a quid?

I suppose I am, I save up loadsa pennies but spend alot of pounds...

I save up on pennys cause my year4 teacher (or some other prmary teacher said) that he never spent every penny he had and he had a piggy bank and put all his money there and at they end of the year he had like £100 (but really it should be more like£3.65 unless u put in more than 1p)

It sometimes takes me longer to decide whether to spend ten dollars than a thousand, so I guess, yes, I AM that way.

I'm the same...I tend to save more of the big bucks and care less about the nickels and dimes.
