So in other words I will be off my cycle Sept 28th, I should use the ovulation test anywhere from the 5th or the 9th of Oct.

There is no reason to take it during your menstrating because you are not ovulating then. The package will tell you when to take it depending on the length of your cycle. However, some women can ovulate earlier. I bought a ovulation kit and I had went to the doctor because I was feeling cramps. She said I might have been ovulating so I decided to take the test to see my results. I wasn't ovulating then but I continued taking the test and found out I was fertile the day before the box says to start testing. So, good thing I tested early. I was fertile 10 days into my cycle and my cycle runs 28 days.

I used the Clear Blue Easy kit that came with 7 tests. The instructions noted when to begin testing based on the average length of your cycle. I'm not sure how many tests you have, but I think it's probably too soon to begin testing. I would wait until at least day 10 of your cycle. Most women do not ovulate before then.

No...Depending on how long your cycle usually is..28 days, start using it on day 8 and continue until your LH surge is detected. Mine is 30 days so I start testing on day 10. Good luck!
