I am thinking about starting a business where i make over men. There are a lot of guys out there who have absolutely no idea what they are wearing, saying and how they are treating women. Think about the movie "Hitch" with Will Smith. Do you think people would go for it? and how should i go about soliciting my services?

Sounds like a lame idea.

Absolutely! GREAT IDEA, but just make sure you're in the right market! Country folks tend to not really care about such fancy things. Low income folks most likely won't spend that kind of money on something like this. Your best bet I think would be to target a city or big town. TV, radio, and newspaper ads are the thing (radio and newspaper would be cheaper). Getting a billboard would be great too. You could also partner with a hair salon or spa and offer coupons or combo deals. Good luck with your business!

Remember you are targetting wide audience of males. I would concentrate on a certain niche / targetted area of males who would be interested in this service. For want of a better word "Metrosexual" men. Not sure about changing men's attitudes to women. Not for the faint hearted ! But adding value to assist men in what to wear sounds like a great concept. Next step is to build a business paln to gain funding from an investor. They will want to see a ROI so do your research well. Good luck.

Something like that would only work profitably as a TV show.
You can make over me but if you want, right now I'm wearing a jumper that hasn't been washed in months & I can't rember where I stole it from, a pair of pined striped shorts and white shoes with no laces or socks. Help.

I think you would do well in a business environment say age 25 and up however all in all I think men don't take direction well or are interested in fashion unless it helps them with business or dating.

so maybe if you marketed your service in the form of helping me get dates
then yes

I think a lot of men need that, but I don't know if you could talk them into going to you. If you are able to advertise to the gf/mothers you could get business.

I think that's a great idea. Go to local colleges, shopping mall's stores - the men's ones, too. Tell your parents and friends. People will go for it. If this works for you, you may have to only work a few hours a day eventually!

I think it is a good idea, but there are professionals who do this already. I would think you would need experience in etiquette, self-marketing, image consulting and quite a few other fields. I would do more research in order to be prepared or shadow someone who is already doing this. Good luck!

I think alot of women would go for it, but you find all the men you trie to help will fight you every step of the way. You'll also find women at your door saying its your fualt there man is cheating on them.

Me I don't need you to fix anything about my man. He is my man and if anything needs fixing. I'll do it myself
