is it common for a girl to feel pain after sex and sometimes even the next day? If so, what causes this, and how do you solve this problem? My g/f doesn't want to have sex, because of this... we do other things, but i kind of don't get this sort of thing, please shed some light for me..

You need to use lube with her. A good thick lube. And only do the easy postions until she gets used to your size.

You've already gotten some good answers.....here's a few more:
1. Use a good lube. KY warming is good...(and you dont' feel like a pervert getting it at the store)

2. Go SLOW! Someone once said that Girls are like slow cookers and Guys are like microwave ovens. Wham, Bam only works when you're trying to avoid being caught. *grin*

3. RELAX- I think she's "expecting" it to hurt. Therefore it does. If you tighten up any of the pelvic muscles....you're going to be sore the next day.

4. I agree with the other poster....go slow....simple positions.

5. Until she's "ready" for normal sex.....do "other" sexual acts. There are a ton of ways to "do it" without inserting anything. Be creative.

Hope this helps. And hugs to you for being concerned enough to ask about it. Also, if you can watch "Talk sex with Sue" it has answered a TON of questions I've had. Be-warned though. She does tell it like it is. And she's over the age of 45....it's a little weird to hear someone who looks like your grandma tell you really good sex advice in such a manner of fact way. But, like I said, she's wonderful!

Take care and good luck,

Actually a lot of women suffer from a tilted cervix so the passage is shorter and sometimes more sensitive, my advice go slower and not as far in unfortunately this isn't a fixable problem but some positions feel better then others..I suffer from the same problem try missionary with both the legs down flat against the bed it sends the sensation to both and doesn't hurt her as much.

talk to her about it, and when you do, don't make it about you.

You shouldn't give two cr@ps about whether you get off or not.

You should care about preventing pain.

Work with her to prevent causing her that pain, and see if you can't both go to relationship counseling together as well as getting her to a Gyn to ensure it's nothing wrong with her.

She could have a genetic disease, std, or you might just be too big for her to begin with.

relationship counseling will help her in the case that it's psychosomatic, and not an actual physical ailment (not that it means it hurts her any less!!!!!!! just that psychologically, getting to the root of the problem, you might help prevent her from hurting in the future if the problem is psychosomatic!)

and whatever you do, don't approach her with it being a problem with her. She may be perfectly normal. Women's vaginal openings aren't to fit every guy's peewee. believe it or not, you may be too big.

good luck!! and talk to her about her feeling better, not about you getting off!! Make this benefit her, not you.

Your girlfriend should go to the gynie- she may have endometriosis- a very painful condition- which can worsen if left untreated- or possibly an ovarian cyst or fibroid if she is having pain for that amount of time after sex. ( you would push or hit a cyst or fibroid inside & that could cause a lot of pain)
Please dont get mad at her, but talk to her & ask her to see a doctor for her health & for your relationship.

YES some girls have all types of problems , with their periods, and with sex.
There are soo many things like this out there, your girl isnt making this up , just be patient, maybe she should be seen by a doctor sometime. Other than that theres nothing you can do, if sex isnt enjoyable for her she cant help that.

-she could have some type of a vaginal infection that makes sex painful. she needs to go to her gynecologist
-there may be too little lubrication, and too much friction, which burns.
-Are you using condoms? Hope so. Condoms with spermicide can sometimes be irritating. Condoms period can just be irritating, but are a necessity!

That is a sign that it could possibly be an infection, especially if she didn't use to have pain. I'd definitely go see a gyno just to be sure.

I think if shes having this problem everytime, then she should see her doc, cuz its not normal. Alot of women have this and it could be something very fixable, but they need to see their doc about it.

she should go see her gynocologist, it could be an infection, or something else, or something really small. It shouldn't be painful.
