Ok, this might be kind of confusing, but here goes. My fiance's mother had genital warts when he was born and she didn't have a C-Section so when he was born he was completely covered with warts all over his body. When he hit puberty, the insides of his legs and his lower stomach broke out in warts again. He has not had another outbreak since then, but he still has these tiny white dots on the inside of his lips. We are trying right now to have our first child together and I was wondering if anybody had any information about this. Could the warts even be passed on to our child? We have both had numerous STD tests and neither one of us has tested positive for anything. Any information will help. Thank you!

Your child will not get the virus if he isn't having an outbreak during the conception or the pregnancy. If he has an outbreak during your pregnancy..skip out on sex for a while.

I'm HVP (genital warts) positive and have had one outbreak in 4 years. I have been pregnant twice and neither of my children came into contact with the disease. Neither child has ever had a wart in their whole life.

The warts are caused by a virus which is latent most of the time. Outbreaks can be induced by stress, immunosuppression or general imbalance in the body. This allows the virus an opportunity to flare up. Passing to children would be rare unless birth was druing an outbreak.
Your child shouldn't be affected.

If you both have tested negative, then no i dont think your child could contract it. But i dont understand if your bf had the symptoms when he was younger than how did he test negative? How come he didnt spread it to you? I guess ill have to look those up because ive never heard of that. The tests tells it all, so ur good i guess?
