My mom is crazy!! I was wondering. I want myspace but my mom said i cant have it because it is dangerous and i am not making one behind her back is it really that dangerous and be honest

My space can be dangerous, it depends on how much information you give about yourself. You don't want the wrong person getting in touch with you, and trust me, there is alot of them out there. I would be thankful you have a mother who cares enough to keep track of your activities. It's obvious she is just looking out for your best interests. Also, I admire how you would not do anything behind her back, sounds like you have had a good example growing up..

Yes it is dangerous. But u can block ppl from looking at ur profile and everythjing. This is dangerous too. so is being sixteen.You can always ask her to set a site up and u set a site up and don't block her and then show her how to get in and check out ur friends and she can get ur bulletins and she she can see who u r talking to and everything...if my 16 year old would only be so kind.LOL Good Luck

what myspace? myspace the personal webpage or your own space? well myspace isn't dangerous ull meet lots of people.. if your own space then it maybe a little bit dangerous..

It CAN be dangerous if you are stupid and post your real name and other personal info. and your picture. Talk to your mom and ask her to help set it up the right way and don't change it.

Well it doesn't have to be if you dont give away any of your personal stuff. My mom felt the same way but i told her to check it out and she found out it was safe. Just ask your mom to do the same thing.

IT CAN BE DANGEROUS IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL. DON'T GIVE OUT TOO MUCH PERSONAL INFORMATION (NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, ETC). THERE ARE A LOT OF PERVS THAT GO LOOKING FOR YOUNG GIRLS ON MYSPACE.

it depends on how much info u give out. whenever my daughter is on I am right beisde her so I know who she is talking to and what they r talking about and u can block the page so that no one can see ur profile until u add them as ur friends but a LOT of people lie about who they r just to get to u
