Get a glass or plastic cutting board. Wooden products are not only harder to clean, but can hide lots of bad bugs

Unfortunately, you will not be able to get mold out of that wood. Mold produces tiny spores that become imbedded in the grains of the wood. You are really going to need to throw that cutting board out and get a new one. Sorry, wish I had the answer you wanted.

Try diluted bleach. It will remove the stains but also it may lighten your board. After you do this make sure you clean the board thoroughly so you do not contaminate your food with Bleach.

Salt. Pour salt over the dampened area and let sit for a while. Then rub vigorously before rinsing. This should take out the stains. If it doesn't, apply more salt and let sit for a longer period of time before rubbing.

I'm all for the bleach option. You should do that anyway, for health reasons. And if it doesn't fix the stains, well, nothing to lose.

I just saw on oprah...she had rachel ray on...use coarse salt and hot water. it takes off all the stains and smells.
