I'm a young writer who is trying to get my mauscript published, but I am struggling to find any publishing companies who are openly looking for new stories to print. My work is mainly fictional comedy.
If you do know or can find any addresses of book companies looking for new writers, please leave me a full address and post code if possible. Thank you.

You can buy a book called 'Writers Hand Book' by Barry Turner and published by Mcmillan it is a dirctory of all publishers throughout the UK and some in USA. it tells you if they take on new writers and also how to present you stuff to them.

Another book from Mcmillan is from 'Pitch to Publishing' by Carol Blake provides a valauable insight into everything from contacts to pitching publishers to give you a chance.

finally - age shouldn't count. as long with the aid of fact the writer feels that your concept is buyable and could no longer in easy terms make you funds yet maximum severely - it's going to make the writer funds. while you're nonetheless worried approximately it - then i might start up small. Write short thoughts and deliver them into contests. Contests are consistently being held. author's Digest often lists real ones you may evaluate. As at your age you in all probability have not got many (if any) publishing credentials - and publishing credentials is something a writer will seem for in the event that they are giving your concept a 2nd theory. on the comparable time - i might nonetheless attempt to touch brokers (nevertheless that is not needed - can in easy terms help) and/or publishers. You in no way do be attentive to till you are attempting. i does no longer turn to self-publishing. that is extremely severe priced. sturdy success.

The best thing you can do is buy the 'Writers Handbook 2007' it's a complete list of publishers and is an absolute bible to freelance writers everywhere! Here's the link to get it on Amazon. It's great because it gives you addresses, and tells you what type of writing they specialise in and even gives you publishers names and email addresses. It has details of agents too.
