of course, everything aches in pregnancy ;) As long as you aren't getting menstrual like cramping, back aches are fine. Back ache in later preg usually means onset of labor, or "back labor", but this isn't until the last week or so. Get used to all of those aches and pains, you'll have 40 weeks of them!!!

Ask your Ob/Gyn...could be normal or could be a sign of something else like a ectopic pregnancy or ovarian cyst, etc...would alot depend if you have other symptoms too. If your really concerned after talking with your Dr...ask for an ultrasound, but may not see much if your too early in the pregnancy, but it will see ovarian cysts, blood in the pelvis etc....go to someplace with a good reputation, and registered sonographers, some small clinics have old equipment and personel not trained in ultrasound.

Don't know, are you sure it's a back ache? See a doctor if it's serious pain, I've heard of women experiencing 'back pain' when in fact they were experiencing a tubal pregnancy. x_x

yes, but they usually occur at the end and at 12 week mark during the beginning it is because your hips are spreading making room for you uterus to grow. in the later part it is due to the position of the baby and also the weight gain.
