Allow your daughter to live her life. Why do you need to get over it? Its not your life. You should trust that the separation might be best for the both of them. Pray that they work it out and get back together, but if it doesn't, just ensure that you are there to provide support for your daughter who may be hurting.

Welcome to the wonderful world of motherhood! This is a new phase in your life and it is going to take some time to adjust. Letting go of our kids is a process and it is a very emotional thing to realize that your daughter is not a child anymore, dependent on you, but is now a woman, married and beginning her life with her husband. Celebrate her new life. Write her cards and mail them. Express your feeling of being proud of her and happy for her. Cry over your grief in private, but to your daughter you must be supportive and happy for her and her new husband.

Also, find some friends you can talk to and that have been through this before. They will be able to relate to your feelings and it will help you to know that others have been through this as well.

Let her be happy. She probably found someone great. Don't stand in the way of that.

If you miss her, call her. Don't call her everyday though. Maybe twice a week to talk. I would be angry if my mom called me everyday of my married life to check in on me. Let her live her life and you live yours.

Mom, your going to have to get a life for yourself!! Start a new hobby. If you aren't already, start dating. Find other ways to occupy your time. I am sure she will continue to make time for you and her. Good luck!!
