L'Occitane - we LOVE IT!!!!! No harsh detergents ... it has shea butter - it works great all winter - yes it's expensive but worth it. They have some nice mild scents you will like (fig, orange cinnamon) etc. if you get bored with the Milk or Verbena.
Common body washes contain sulfate which is very harsh.
Stick to shea butter or glycerine soaps. :) Try a local health food store or the L'Occitane shop nearest you.
One more thing: Unscented lotion we use (Alba Botanica) and then sometimes I mix it with their massage oil - it's fabulous).

I only know of a lotion and oil that works for really, really dry skin. It's all natural and contains no alcohol to dry out your skin like some soaps and lotions. Ever since I started using these products, my skin feels silky and soft and I love it! Lil Healer would work the best for extremely dry skin. Try it!

Use a soap with aloe vera in it...or use soap with lotion...if you can't find any that you like, Neutrogena Body Lotion light sesame formula is really good at hydrating skin. I use it because I run Track & Field and get sunburned all the time. It puts moisture back into my dry skin.

Doesn't matter what kind of soap you use. They all tend to be drying. You need to use lotion after bathing. This puts the moisture back into your skin.

Dove. Or, every other day, instead of using soap on your whole body, just get the obvious places.

OLIVE OIL SOAP IS ONE OF BEST SOAPS AROUND, YOU CAN PURCHASE IT AT YOUR LOCAL HEALTH FOOD STORE.
COMMERCIAL SOAPS HAVE MANY CHEMICALS IN THEM AND
TEND TO DRY THE SKIN OR IRRITATE IT. GIVE IT A TRY!!!
