ER Season Premiere?

Question

What did everyone think of the first show of the season?

I am hurting for Luca. I don't think he can handle loosing another child. I also loved Abby. I am so sad that she needed a hystorectomy (sp?).

Sam shooting her ex-husband was amazing. She had to do it though! She had no choice, he would have found her and killed her.

What does everyone think?

I thought it was a good show. I was a little confused as I was ill the end of last season and missed the season finale, so I was a bit confused at the beginning.

I don't want Luca and Abby to lose the baby. I don't think I can handle it, especially after Carter lost his.

I sat with my mouth open when Sam shot her ex. I wonder if there is going to be a big trial. I thought she had no choice also.

I thought Jerry's mother was hilarious. I wonder if she will be on the show more often.

I can't wait until Sally Field comes back on next week.

it was good. i stopped watching the series for a while until i found out abby was pregnant. her life always seems depressing so i was happy for her and luca to finally get together and have a baby. both of them deserve to finally have the joy of their own family. they seem like soulmates anyway so they'd already be great parents.

i feel bad about the hysterectomy because they're both still young and havent even had the chance to marry. i wonder if this will later cause problems that end up postponing their plans, or even leading to a separation??? its easy to say whatever sounds good in the beginning when its still a shock, overwhelming, and emotional so we'll see...

i hope the baby gets well. i think she wanted luca to stay with the him so he wouldnt be around for her bad news, which she probably knew was coming, considering dealing with the baby was enough.

i did think jerry would die and the baby would live emphasizing the whole circle of life thing, but especially because jerry is now playing a bartender on the show "men in trees" which is also pretty good. so i think he may unexpectedly die right around the time the baby gets well.

im glad sam shot her husband but she didnt have to kill him. however, when you terrorize someone that much for that long AND involve their child who is already ill with diabetes it tends to make a mother lose all perspective so i understand. she'll probably plead self-defense and once they find out about his criminal history and the other two he shot they'll probably believe her and let her go.

hopefully the show can keep me hooked but these other shows are strong competition.

It was a great episode. I don't think Sam should have killed her husband, though. Maybe just shot him to injure him and keep him from running. She had a chance to escape without killing him. I hope Abby and Luca's kid survives. It would be sad to see Luca lose another child and this will be the only child Abby can have.

For some reason, I suspect the baby on the webcam was not their baby, he did it to ease her fears. I really thought the baby would die since Jerry lived. I was very sad that she needed a hysterectomy. I don't blame Sam a bit for shooting that SOB, he raped her, terrorized her and Alex. I just hope she doesn't go to jail.

I can't wait for this weeks when Abby's mom comes back. I love it when she's on the show.

I LOVED IT!!! I really really hope that Abby and Luca's child will be ok...i nearly cried when it all happened!! Luca has such a sad life i want to see him happy...he really needs this baby

I was soooo shocked when Sam shot her ex-husband!!! He deserved to die but i hope that she doesn't get into trouble for killing him since he was sleeping when she shot him.

I thought it was good. I definitely got the impression that their baby wasn't doing as well as he led Abby to believe though. It might be a long fight for survival...but I do hope he makes it. It would be much too painful to watch him go through another heartache.
