die? Which season was this? It ended at 8:00am without the usual 'tick'; was this the end of the season?
Needless to say, I haven't been paying much attention to the show, which messes things up a bit.

Nobody seems to know what I'm talking about. Clearly it was the last episode of the season, because there was no 'tick' on the clock. What happened was, some cute dark-haired girl shakes the President's hand, coating it with some poison, and he seems to faint after noticing it, drawing the crowd's attention.
Did he survive this? Or was it fatal.

Yes he does die in the first episode of season 5, he gets shot by a sniper. The episode you're talking about is the last episode of season 1 or maybe 2 and he gets poisoned by that dark haired lady, but does not die, as he returns in next season.

Yes, he died in the first episode of season 5, which was last season.
So sad, he was the best TV president.
When season 6 starts in January, I've read that it will be 18 months from where we left of. At the end of season 5, Jack was kidnapped by the Chinese, based on what he did in Season 4.
In season 6, the fact that he was kidnapped would already be dealt with and he will deal with new crisis. Like I said, they will go 18 months ahead...

Palmer was killed by a sniper during the first 5 minutes of the day during last season's run. He was killed at approximately 7:05AM
At 6:59AM the following morning, Jack Bauer was kidnapped by the Chinese secret agents and was being escorted back to a Chinese prison aboard an oil tanker.
That is where this new season will resume.

Yes, David Palmer was shot in the head in the season premiere of the last season. I cried!! It was SO sad.
The last season ended with Jack being kidnapped by the Chinese. He was being tortured on a boat. I can't wait to see how he gets out of this one. :-)

Yes, he was assainated in the first 5 minutes of Day five.
Looking back at the "day" and President Logan, Pres Bush doesn't seem all that bad!! >)
SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE WHOLE SEASON YET!
Side note: Gregory Itzak *spelled wrong I'm sure*, who played Pres Logan said he and Denis Haskins *spelling again*...Pres Palmer are great friends IRL and go golfing as much as possible. He said it's always funny when people stare open mouthed at the two of them golfing. Kinda like.."Aren't you dead and aren't you the reason he's dead??"

yes he died...i was so sad when tht happened,i cried...we have all the 24 seasons on tape,...i watch them over and over again
