Yes... everybody who was normal size upwards... being a short **** was hell for me at school, and everytime I got picked on the teachers didn't seem to appreciate that I didnt want the fight in the first place and any defence on my part was, to me at the time, purely survival.
To cap it all, they made the biggest school bully head boy!
Another time I had a lit firework put in my coat pocket (which I was wearing) and it went off. I was mortified that my parents would kill me for letting the first new coat they'd bought me in two years (I didnt grow very quickly, and my clothes really lasted!!) and when they complained to the Headmaster, I became the "school grass".
The thing is, I was never unfriendly to anyone, I wasn't one of those obnoxious little twerps (to use a phrase) that are portrayed in society, I just wanted to get on with people, and actually learn something at school... I loved the lessons, hated break time.
I used to change my route home every night, and I learnt from a very early age some advanced security procedures.
However it's not a problem any more as I learnt to look after myself.
There's a saying we used to say to bullies "pick on someone your own size"... what it really means is, if you pick on someone who's been bullied so often, you are going to come off worst, because people like me have learnt how to deal with it, as opposed to someone of normal size who rarely (relatively speaking) gets picked on.

I had a few enemies because i always got questions right. I got picked on in the playground .I never told anyone because the whole class used to team up and tease me.I continued with my work and tried to ignore these people. The breakthrough for me was when i won a compition and was one of 6 in the whole of Birmingham to be awarded. Everyone wanted to be my friend after that. You need to be patient and time does heel .

at school I did not. I think because I only hung around with a few people, so there was no jealousy and trying to prove anything. I had no ambition to be involved with the "popular children ", but I was able to be decent to everyone I came accross. it is difficult to be someone's enemy ,when you don't give them ammunition.
I try to teach my children not to be unkind to anyone, no matter what other kids are doing. It is frustrating when they do pick up problems. I am sure that it is more difficult for children in today's time , as all want to be in or popular. to survive some feel that they have to develop some nasty characteristics , which is disheartening for all.

Yes. From primary school to secondary school, for 12 years. First we were best friends. Then we started growing up, she realized she wanted to be the most popular girl in class and when someone would prefer talking to me or someone liked me she would start lying and treating me like sh*t. We became enemies after a while. In secondary school it all calmed down, we didn't care of each other, she still wanted to belong to the popular and shallow layer of the class, the so called cool people, while I was with my true friends. Guess what: we won't see each other any more because she wasn't accepted to university... :)

I was bullied by a girl I stupidly hung around with in school. It was not until later in my school life, that I had the bottle to fight back. So glad I did because I was left alone after that - Just wish I had done it sooner!
Made me a stronger person though as I got older. Made me realise that you dont have to just stand back and take the cr*p!

Well she was more of a bully really, she picked and picked on me until I couldn't take anymore so I grabbed her by the shoulders one day and banged her head on a wall until I she screamed in pain, I went home and told my mom what I had done, I was taken back to school to sort it out, thankfully the bully was OK and I was just given a bit of a ticking off about bashing her head on a wall, she left me alone after that thankfully, I still feel bad to this day about what I did but I just couldn't take anymore.

Yes, I have. I've had 2 I can think of. One was during childhood, and one was during employment; They're both out of my life now. I mostly support my friends and help them deal with their enemies.

Crikey yeah, and I've got a whole lot more now. So what though. I always say, if I got along without you before I met you I can get along without you now. By the way, I do have friends too, so I'm not a total loser.
