You must not watch Nascar that much because Nascar sure as heck does not let Dale Jr, Tony Stewart or Kevin Harvick get away with a lot.

Dale Jr - In 2004 cursed on national tv after winning at Talladega for the 5th time. Nascar fined him and docked him points. Has gotten in trouble with Nascar for aggressive driving during races.

Tony Stewart - Has docked Tony numerous of times, has sent Tony to Anger Management classes. Has been fined for rough driving, has gotten into fights with other drivers, photographers, etc. They've turned Tony into the prime example of "you do something wrong and your gonna pay the price."

Kevin Harvick - His team has been caught cheating numerous times. Kevin's crew chief was banned from 4 races back in 2005 after being caught cheating. Nascar also made him sit out a race in 2002. Has gotten into arguments with other drivers, etc.

You're wrong Watson. As a matter of fact, NASCAR doesn't let those three get away with much, and has made an example of each of them in various ways.

Now the question would make sense if you asked why they let Johnson, Gordon, all Roush drivers, and Penske drivers get away with so much. If it wasn't for Roush last year, Kurt Busch would not have seen any disciplinary action against him from NASCAR. JJ has been caught with so many things wrong with his car, yet they only once suspended Knaus. There have been a lot of fines, but nothing more. Roush and Hendrick had the "hot" engines that could produce 10,000+ RPM. Someone has wrecked a car that couldn't pass inspection by backing it into a wall as part of their victory celebration. ANd it wasn't any of the ones you mentioned.

You are so right.But I think you left out a few drivers.Let's see There's Jeff Gordon,Jimmy Johnson, Matt Kenseth,Kurt Busch,Mike Waltrip,Elliot Sadler,Dale Jarrett,Reed Sorenson,J.J. Yeley,Kasey Kahne.
This just scatches the surface.
Everyone of these drivers has done something that is out side of good sportsmanship.
So to pin point"Jr,Tony,or Kevin" is not too smart. When the green flag drops there are 43 drivers the best 43.So when something happens fingers are pointed and fines are given, but the cause of the problem is not settled until the drivers are on the track again.
Unfortunatly as for a fan you have gotten away with too much.Go to the race cheer and brag if he wins and remember that sportsmanship of the fans in the stands is just as important.

I must say the 2006 season has been fairly quite for those 3 drivers you speak of I haven't heard about any out burst so I think alot of that has had to do with NASCAR getting after them and not letting them to get away with anything.

I agree with all the ones above NASCAR will let very little get by now a days...i rememeber a certain driver he could bump any one ,,but let some one bump him he would go crying to nascar take a guess who he is...

They actually made Harvick sit out a race in 2002. Black flagged Stewart at Pocono this year for rough driving. And as mentioned above they docked Jr. 25 points for cursing on TV last year.

Usually it's whoever your favorite driver is is the one you think is getting the shaft. Same way in football, you always think the refs are making bad calls against your team. Just human nature I suppose.

I agree with martin_truex_girl. NASCAR doesn't let anyone get away with anything. Now, sometimes the penalties that they give could be more harsh, but none of the drivers get away with anything.
