The whole "Points and Levels" system is just to get people to participate more in this Yahoo Answers!.
Whoever design this points system are pretty smart since without it, why would anyone participate and give good answer?
It is good that if you want to ask a lot of questions you don't know, you have to give enough answer to the things you do know first.
Oh, and the more points you got, the more likely people will spend more time to give you a better answer since they know you have contribute a lot to this community.

My friend told me after so many points, a 1000 or so, you get a coupon for a
Big Mac value meal, but now I'm starting to think he was not serious.
