I don't think it's legal to try and sell second-hand electrical equipment any longer unless it's been certified as being safe for use by a qualified electrician, so don't start trying to flog it without getting some advice first. Citizens advice, local council etc will be able to help.

I doubt you could get money for it if it is old. To get rid of it, contact your local councils household refuge collection dept. There could be a charge, unless your on state, means tested benefit.
Most charities that collect unwanted goods, will not accept a lot of electrical equipment, as they have to pay for safety checks to be done to make sure they are safe to be used.

try a carboot sale altho my nan does this now and again and usually spends more on pitch costs than what money she makes. also try a house sale. if you just want to get rid of things then put prices on the items and take the nearest offer you get. you might only make a few quid but its better than nothing. also in our area they have a charity that will take your items and pass them on to people who need them ( recently divorced, single mothers etc)

Usually you wont get money for it. Put it in a box and put free on box set on curb. Someone will take it. Goodwill is full of old electrical stuff.

Put an ad in the paper, or take it to your recycling center. You could make a bit of change depending on what you have and what your center accepts. Some take everything from scrap metal to cable.

Really depends on what you have, old breakers...call your local contractor, most of them collect them for future use in the same types of panels, as far as old wire.....SCRAP it take it to your local salvage yard, copper scrap now is between 2.50 and 5.00$ a Pound!

call your local scrap dealer, copper is selling high currently.

Find your nearest re-cycling centre in Yellow Pages. Let them do it for you. They'll do it properly.
