"What's the youngest female a man can date in the state of Ohio without getting himself thrown into jail? Just curious. I am guessing at least 18."
The quick answer to your question is "16 years of age."
I assume that by "date" you mean... have sexual relations with. And the age of consent for heterosexual relations in Ohio is 16 years old.
Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor-- as a felony in the fourth degree-- occurs when you have sex with a person under the age of 16 and you are four or more years older than that person. (It's a misdemeanor in the first degree if you are less than four years older.)
However, legal consent to heterosexual conduct does not preclude other civil legal actions or invalidate moral and realistic concerns:
-- Parents of minors may still pursue civil actions (in tort, for example) on the behalf of their minor (under 18 years old) children.
-- A substantial spectrum of American Society frowns upon sexual conduct between young people and much older people-- especially when the young person is being taken advantage of by the older person-- even when those young people are technically of age to consent.
-- And, of course, young people are sometimes not prepared to adequately address issues such as teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted disease, and emotional maturity in safely engaging in sexual affairs.

The legal age an adutl can date is 18, but if you have two people under the age of 18, then the consent age is 16.

according to the list i found, Ohio's age of consent is 16.
