Do I need a visa to enter Australia on holiday with an Irish Passport?

I will NOT be working out there and will be staying for 6 weeks. Is there any requirement for me to apply for a visa or is it just a matter of arriving there with my passport?

Yes...it is an Electronic Visa that the Travel Agent will process for you...

Alternatively you can apply for the electronic travel authority at http://www.eta.immi.gov.au
