Only Divinity can ever answer a WHY question. Anyone who attempts to tell you the reason behind Divine behavior is either mis-informed or very arrogant.
And you question may be too limited. Who said that mosquitoes do not benefit some species other than humans?

An animal need not benefit man, in order to be beneficial. If there is a God and he created the earth, I highly doubt he did it all for man's benefit.... and I am sure he would say that a few bites and deaths caused by mosquitos here and there is a justified hardship for man to endure, for the sake of all the creatures that need to eat mosquitos to survive... The plain truth is mosquitos benefit man in only one way, population control... in fact mosquito born malaria is responsible for an estimated half of all human deaths since the stone age(some may not consider that a benefit). However mosquitos sustain thousands of other creatures on this planet, and those mosquito fed creatures in turn, are food for thier predators and so on, all the way to the top of the food chain. Without mosquitos many ecosystems would not exist and many incredible creatures would also not exist. If there is a God and he did create mosquitos, he did so to feed all the creatures he created that eat mosquitos, and possibly to prevent human overpopulation.... that could lead to the destruction of the earths ecosystems.

Mosquitoes are excellent vectors for West Nile, Malaria, etc.
The clear benefits for man (if you're a creationist, not an evolutionist) is that they transmit diseases. Thereby, they keep the human population in check.
There's already 7 billion humans on earth.
Can the earth grow and produce enough food? Is there enough water and other natural resources? How do we process/bury/recycle all the waste products?
Some people must die of disease, famine, drought, etc. so that most people can survive and live...and swat mosquitoes.

I have many rather silly questions like this that are just fun to ask. I doubt I'll ever get a real answer beyond the "God sure is funny isn't He."
For example, if God created us, why did he make it so that when we bite our lip, it swells up and makes us more likely to bite it again? If there is no God, then why did we evolve such a nasty response. Another evolution question could be, if evolution is the survival of the fittest, shouldn't men understand women by now? It would be a huge advantage wouldn't it?
And don't forget my favorite proof that God exists. If God didn't plan the universe, can it just be random luck that the thermal expansion for concrete and steel are the same.

Skeeters help form the staple diet of many bird species, these in turn provide natural beauty in many forests worldwide. Also, this is a bit sci-fi, but:
If a virus vaccine could be developed, mosquitoes would make an excellent vector for vaccinating large groups of people at little cost. That´s not yet a reality. Not yet.

God didn't make mosquitoes, they evolved. You may as well ask if man has any benefit for mosquitoes.

Does the whole world have to revolve around humans? They may not have any benifit to us directly, but indirectly they drive an ecosystem. for example...a turkey eats a mosquito, and a human eats the turkey, then a week later a shark gets a mouthful of human...and so on and so forth.....

This is not the question you should be asking. Rather, it should be: Why did God create the Universe? And how long is his rest day going to last, it must have been Sunday in heaven for a few thousand years now!
