Since this is a car question, it would be a machinist term , meaning 0.010 inch, like when grinding a crankshaft

Its a small British car made by the Standard motor company.It had a rating of ten horse power.It was made from1994 to 1996 was 948cc capacity and 172,500 were made.A military version called the Atlas was also produced.Regards Mick
