Earthquakes because they strike without a warning. Hurricanes are always forcasted allowing for evacuations.

Have to agree with the first response...at least you know the possibility of a hurricane coming to your area and when but with an earth quake. Bam like a baseball bat to the side of the head your whole world is shaking.
Thank you know I'll stick to my hurricane state any day!

I've lived in California all my life. I'd take an earthquake over a hurricane any day. Earthquakes come and go and most of them do little to no damage. Sometimes I don't even bother getting off the phone if I'm at work. We rarely have really bad earthquakes but I hear about really bad hurricanes just about every year.

Earthquakes. You can't tell when it's coming and the distruction is , I feel worse.
Hurricanes are just as bad, but they can be predicted.
