It seems to me that Republicans have a tendency to show immediate animosity towards any Democrat. Not all reps, but many of them. When I listen to them they seem to repeat the same things that neil bortz or sean hannity say on the radio. things like "the moveon.org left" or "Democrats hate America" and that sort of thing. Its almost impossible to have aconversation with them about anything politics without them getting upset. Is it me? What have I done to hate america? I'm tired of being generalized into something that some corrupt representative said, what can I do?

Got news for you, my friend -- Democrats do the exact same thing. It's really ironic because liberals say they're so much more open-minded, more tolerant, more accepting (you know, I'm OK, you're OK) but in practice liberals are every bit as narrow-minded, intolerant, and unaccepting as they accuse conservatives of being whenever they're confronted by someone who doesn't agree with their point of view.

I guess the main reason you see so many Republicans showing open animosity toward Democrats is most conservatives are completely fed up with all the b!tching, whining, griping, moaning and complaining coming from the left. Sure, it's your right to speak your mind and to criticize our elected leaders, but your typical liberal bashes Bush and calls him an idiot but cannot constructively criticize his decisions, his policies, or anything that he has done. Simply put, Democrats bash Bush and call him an idiot and their reason for it is "just because." Those that actually offer some type of criticism are simply repeating what they have heard on CNN or the mainstream liberal media 99% of the time. The other part of the problem is for all the gripes that come out of the left there are no solutions offered. Any time you ask a liberal what should be done about any given problem, the answer invariably begins with "The government should (fill in the blank)."

This is where liberals are dangerously short-sighted. On the one hand, they're all about freedom and individual rights, but any time there's a problem they think the government should handle it. What they fail to realize is every time the citizens hand a problem over to the government and say "Here, fix this," the citizens are willfully handing over a little piece of their freedom. They have just given the government a little bit more power to exert its authority over the private citizen. Keep doing that and what you end up with is a government that regulates virtually every aspect of our lives, just like that of the former Soviet Union.

Want another example? Sam Harris, a very outspoken liberal, wrote an article called "Head in the Sand Liberals" which deals with the liberal stand on terrorism. Here you have one of the most outspoken far-left liberals in the country saying that his own party is dangerously soft on terrorism and that Democrats are DEAD WRONG in believing we can alleviate or eliminate the terrorist threat through tolerance and economic opportunity for countries in the Middle East. What's really sad is you have conservatives reading this article saying "Well, DUH!!! We have been saying the exact same things since 9/11 but the liberals have repeatedly blasted us, calling us religious fanatics, criticizing virtually every aspect of the war on terrorism, and saying we're completely clueless -- and it has taken this liberal FIVE YEARS to figure out that we're not so clueless after all?"

Unfortunately, you're being lumped in with a bunch of people who truly ARE anti-American and really don't know the first thing about running a country or defending a nation. However, the most vocal liberals are so arrogant that they believe that they are 100% absolutely correct in their assessment of the world and the U.S.A. and politics, yet they can't even see their own hypocrisy when they get openly derisive of the President and conservatives. BOTTOM LINE: You have a small group of loud-mouthed liberals who are in no way qualified to run a country proclaiming themselves as all-knowing and all-seeing of everything that is wrong in the U.S. giving ALL liberals a bad name.

Why do no longer you supply me some good examples of how nasty the Dems are being? the two way no count if it concerns or no longer, the Republican occasion's nastiness is unquestionably TWOFOLD of the dems. For the main section, all i've got HEARD is nastiness coming from the Republicans. consistent with probability they are sore losers, or consistent with probability they are purely terrified that the government *gasp* would be taking a small ingredient of their funds to assist something of the rustic in choose!

I know, they all can't stand me, all I do is ask educated questions and answer their ignorant and hateful questions. I think they are threatened by us. They have nothing to offer to politics. But these are just the ones on this forum, I don't believe that all Republicans can be this stupid.

Personally I am a far right conservative republican....BUT.....I will ONLY vote for PRO LIFE persons, period.
I would vote democrat IF they were PRO LIFE and had some real ethics and morals.
I personally hate liberals....so....if you and I were to meet, you were liberal, we would probably not see eye to eye, but, it might be a fun conversation.
I dont think any of my republican friends have ever said they hate democrats, it is LEFT WING LIBERALS we hate.
