If they do not regain their rightful place in the premiership I will dance naked through the gardens of 10 Downing St until I colapse of exhaustion and have to be air-lifted to hospital.

Yes. Birmingham and West Brom remain the teams to beat because of the strength of their squads, but in George Burley Southampton have probably the best manager in the division.

Rightful place, are you taking the piss. Pompey deserve to be in the Premiership not Southampton.

As their name suggests Southampton are going South.

I sure hope not.
Being a Pompey supporter I spent half my life being reminded that Southampton were a league higher than Pompey.
Let's hope the boots on the other foot for at least
another 20 years.

Yes I think they will regain a place in the Premiership… but as for it being their rightful place, no club has a divine right for anything.

i reckon they could go up via the playoffs , but when they get up they wont be the old southampton in the primiership days , for the first time portsmouth will be the best on the south coast in the top division
