Princess has a cruise that goes down to Antarctica. It is called "Antarctica & South America" which is a 21 day sailing. Or of course the Alaska Sailings. I would go with either Princess or Holland America. Of course this to depends on your age. If you are under 35 a better choice would maybe be Royal Caribbean for more activities.

Cost varies by so many factors. Alaska cruises are seasonal from middle of May to middle of Sept. June, July and Aug. being the higher cost months due to it being a little warmer. Book these sailings FAR in advance as with cruises you do get early booking discounts. Early booking is a year to say 10 months prior to sailing.

The Princess lines has the Alaskan Princess. It goes north during the summer from the West Coast. It's not an icebreaker, though. Icebreakers tend to belong to governments.
