You might as well tell her, she's going to find out the hard way when she sees the credit card statement or fuel receipts. Then what's going to happen? Let her hear it from you that you're bored with the same old drive time routine after 10 years. LOL

I have been married for over 10 years myself so you would have to be ready to explain WHY did you decide to change your route. What else do you plan on changing.

The only reson she would care is if you took a detour to the jewlrey store to buy her a little trinket...other than that I'm sure her eyes will glaze over with boredom if you started talking about your exciting new route to work.
