It means you will work all night. Usually people go in at 11pm or 12am

less than 30 hours a week and third shift is usually from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am. Third shift is also called graveyard shift. Late night to early morning, is the shift.

Third-shift is also known as "midnights" most often it is an eleven pm to seven am shift nowadays. I work that shift myself, I think it is better than second shift (three pm to eleven pm) any day.
