Notice a lot of answers here mention "I'm taking my kids out".
What kind of a screwed-up world did we get ourselves into?
When I went trick-or-treating, it was stictly all the kids on their own, and parents didn't get involved other than helping make costumes.
Now it's the reverse.
The costumes are bought in stores, the parents dress up and bring their kids along.
The kids grow up with no sense of independence.
If this ain't one big mess instead of Halloween, then I don't know what you call it.
You know what, they should forget the whole thing.
Trick-or-Treat means exactly what it says.
If you're an old fossil, and you don't care to answer the door, well then, you get anything like an egg on your car to some dog do that is lit up and then when you answer the door, you stamp out the fire.
Those were just some of the tricks.
No more tricks like those anymore.
Those doing the tricking are the big politicos and the C.E.O.'s.

I usually dress up as Kramer from Seinfeld and go out clubbing and try to win costume contests. On the night of giving out the candy I am at home

My boyfriend and I are going to dress as Gomez and Morticia Addams and we're dressing our son as Baby Addams. I believe his name is Pubert????
We originally were just going to dress him up, but decided it'd make for a great photo op if we dressed up along with him.

At work, I'm going to be Clark Kent/Superman (see my 360), and when passing out the candy to the kiddies, I'm gonna be Batman. It's pretty cool.
